The early October update, which we told you about in this article, was actually intended for the Indian market only: OnePlus has indeed stated that it has encountered a problem regarding the connection to the network for European and American smartphones and therefore preferred to avoid releasing the update in these regions.
Finally, however, it seems that all the problems have been corrected and that therefore Android 12 and the OxygenOS 12 are ready to come to us too: the update changelog is practically the same as the previous update (obviously the connectivity problem that prevented the rollout at the beginning of the month has been fixed) and includes the August security patches.
The update brings with it one new interface graphics, functionality Smart Battery Engine which aims to improve the autonomy of smartphones, the introduction of Work Life Balancea new dark mode improved and obviously all the news of Android 12 that we have come to know in recent months. Below, we report the complete changelog.
The update will arrive via OTA on all OnePlus 7 or 7T series in the next few days: to check for updates, just go to the settings and take a look at the Software Updates section. We remind you that some OnePlus smartphones are compatible with the beta version of Android: here all the details.
