Opel, the tuner XS Carnight has already put its hand to the hybrid Astra

Hot-hatch enthusiasts still wonder if we will ever see heirs of the 308 GTi and Opel Astra OPC, perhaps hybrid, as the House of the Lion did with the 508 PSE. Meanwhile, in Germany, there are already those who are worrying about putting the new compact Opel Astra at ease on the road. She did it XS Carnightone of the partner companies of Opel, which has set up an example full of charm and suggestion.

Without touching the mechanics, which is that of180hp plug-in hybrid, the XS Carnight team focused on aesthetics and the frame, first of all proposing a livery with glossy white paint and black decorations. Finally, the unmistakable look of the show car is complemented by motorsport decals such as those available from Opel Accessories, on the sides and windshield of the car. Inside, the equipment is that of the Ultimate version, with the Pure Panel digital cockpit and the adaptive Intelli-Lux LED Pixel Light.

The frame has been modified with “Grinds” air suspension equipped with height sensors signed “Carstyle me” and combined with the original shock absorbers. The wheels with 20 ”rims, mounted for demonstration purposes only, are signed by the American manufacturer RVNT Forged.

The car will be the protagonist of the XS Carnight anniversary “20 Years of XSCN” scheduled for 29-30 July at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
