OPPO Pad Air the first OPPO tablet to land on the European market and also in Italy. It is a mid-range model, characterized by low weight and the particular two-tone design with metal joints, as well as by the customization of Android ColorOS for Pad which lands for the first time in the Old Continent.
Seen from behind the tablet is separated into two parts: the upper one, where the camera module is housed, presents a 3D texture with OPPO Glow finish and grooves that improve the grip of the tablet avoiding leaving fingerprints. The lower part adopts a coating with sandblasting grains of only 0.15 mm. The weight of 440 grams and the thickness of 6.94 mm, make the tablet very comfortable to use, confirming the name chosen by the company for this model: Air.
OPPO Pad Air, technical specifications
The numbers become in our opinion even more interesting if we consider the presence of a display with a diagonal of 10.36 inches, with 2K resolution. The panel has passed the Rheinland TV certification for vision care, and accompanied by four speakers with a Dolby Atmos, promising “clear and high quality” sound. The integrated 7100mAh battery should also guarantee an autonomy of 12 hours with video playback or 15 hours with videocall.
OPPO Pad Air also adopts the mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, while on the software side – as already mentioned – we find ColorOS for Pad, derived from the OPPO customization for smartphones but with some innovations to meet the needs of use on tablets. For example, we find gestures to comfortably start the split screen or to bring an app running at full screen to the window, and there is a smart sidebar.
They have also been implemented two multi-display functions that help users to maintain continuity between devices: by dragging files it is possible to transfer a file by simply performing a drag and drop between OPPO smartphone and OPPO Pad Air; while with the sharing of the notes it is possible to copy and paste text without problems both on the smartphone and on the tablet.
OPPO Pad Air, price and availability in Italy
OPPO Pad Air already available in Italy on OPPO Store. There are two variants marketed:
