The team of Overkill Software decides to inaugurate the new year by dusting off one of its most iconic brands. The series Paydays returns to the spotlight with the long-awaited third chapter, which finally gets an official logo and the Steam page where you can add the game to your Wish List and discover new details. Overkill has confirmed that the new chapter of the cooperative shooter to be released in 2023 on PC and consoles: “This is the Year of Payday 3”.
Overkill teases fans: Payday 3 is coming this year
Released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the summer of 2013, Paydays 2 been very appreciated by fans of first person shooters and, especially, by fans of cooperative FPS. The game developed by Overkill Software simulates a series of robberies organized by a ruthless gang of criminals: Up to four players can impersonate gang members and take on missions of varying difficulty by adopting different strategies.
In just over a year, Starbreeze Studios had sold over 9 million copies of Payday 2, thus confirming the enormous success of the production. The sequel has always been in Starbreeze’s plans, but the project has been postponed several times due to the well-known economic crisis of the Swedish company. Now we finally have a launch window for Paydays 3: the game will come this year on PC and consoles, as reiterated in the new teaser trailer for the game.
Several years after their end “reign of terror”the original members of the Payday Gang reunite “to address the threat that brought them out of early retirement”. Players will impersonate once again Dallas, Chains, Wolf and Hoxton – the latter had been temporarily replaced by his brother, Houston, in the second chapter of the series.
Overkill invites players to add Payday 3 to their Wishlist on Steam. On the Valve marketplace page It is possible to find the teaser trailer released a few hours ago, as well as new images taken from the game and some details: in fact, we discover that the game will be adapted in Italian, but will be dubbed only in English. 2023 is also confirmed as the year of publication, but a well-defined launch date is still missing.
