As always, the youtuber started from the display: the screen in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 began to show the first signs al level 6 of the Mohs scale, a result decidedly in line with practically all the other smartphones available on the market (indeed, perhaps even something better was expected).
After “scratched” the edge of the device with a box cutter, Zach decided to take it out on the S Pen: by applying a little force, this breaks without too many problems and we can take a look at the small internal components, among which a capacitor placed on top of the pen.
However, the glass is excellent for protecting the display from heat: even trying to keep the flame of a lighter on the screen for about 40 seconds no strange halos appear on the display. Finally, Zach also tried to “break” the smartphone by applying a force to the sides, but he failedhowever a sign of the excellent resistance of the Galaxy S23 Ultra body.
So the test passed with flying colours: Galaxy S23 Ultra is practically like new, net of the scratches caused by the youtuber. You can take a look at the video below.
