We are talking about wallpapers and in particular a really promising app. Is called Stokies and it really surprised us, especially since it is managed to stand out in a sector, namely that of wallpaper apps, which is really saturated with products and alternatives. Let’s go see why.
The Stokie app is a very light app that doesn’t ask for any particular invasive permissions when you start it for the first time. You will simply be asked to be able to keep your personal browsing history within the app. They will not come so requested access permissions notifications and internal storage.
As you can see from the screenshots you find in the galleryStokie’s GUI is simple and pleasant.
The app comes with a nice design and a user interface structure that is easy to navigate within. This is a wallpaper app and obviously wallpapers are its whole point. The main screen of the app presents four sections:
- Collections, that is the one in which all the wallpapers divided by categories are collected. This is probably the most interesting section because it includes collections dedicated to Android versions, including the most historical ones. In fact, we find the official backgrounds of Android Jelly Bean for example, but also those of the most popular custom ROMs of past years. We also find all the official wallpapers offered by the main smartphone manufacturers on their models.
- latestwhich is the section that collects all the latest wallpapers on Stokie.
- Popularthe section that collects the wallpapers most downloaded by users.
- Randomthe section that allows you to view wallpapers randomly selected throughout the Stokie database.
However, these four main sections collect the backgrounds proposed by Stokie.
Background selection can also be done using the search tool integrated into the app, useful if you are looking for a specific wallpaper.
Once you’ve chosen the image that’s right for you, it’s time to figure out how to use it. Here are the main operations that can be performed directly from the Stokie app:
- Set the picture as wallpaper home screen.
- Set the picture as wallpaper lock screen.
- Set the image as both the lock screen wallpaper and the home screen wallpaper.
- To save the image in your device.
- Customize the image before setting it as wallpaper:
- You can customize the blur, cast, contrast and brightness. It is basically an excellent image editor integrated into the app itself.
Every wallpaper you’ll find on Stokie features the original resolution in pixels, the number of downloads and the weight in MB. In short, nothing is really missing.
Overall we liked Stokie a lot, the developers have managed to offer a product that is original and interesting in a context where there are so many apps dedicated to wallpapers.
All aspects of the app convinced us, especially for the freedom left to the userin full coherence with the theme of personalization on Android.
The Stokie app is available at free download on Play Store. In the free version you will find advertisementsnot excessively invasive during navigation but which are automatically offered every 2 or 3 image downloads.
The app also offers the option to subscribe by making a payment lump sum Of €3.49 to remove all advertisements. If you intend to try it, you will find the below direct download button.
