The Galaxy S23s have a charging feature never seen before

It’s been a few days since we’ve seen Samsung get into the thick of it again smartphone market presenting its new top of the Android range: the Galaxy S23.

Gradually we learn new details about three new models launched by Samsung. After seeing our preview, we know a feature for the power supply as useful as it is new.

The screenshots which you find below refers to an option in the Game Booster menu of the Galaxy S23. This option is to enable the power supply of the device bypassing charging of the battery. This means that you will be able to connect the power cable to the Galaxy S23 to power them directlywithout recharging the battery.

The reason behind this feature is the reduce overheating of the device and battery. The second screenshot found below shows how, if activated, this feature allows you to power the phone with one lower power than that used to recharge the battery.

A lower power clearly corresponds to a lower heating of the device. Indeed, we know how the heat is one of the agents more insidious for the battery life of a smartphone.

Samsung has therefore developed this feature especially for those who also use their smartphone for play, usage sessions that include warming up the device for high performance. The functionality just seen should be available if the smartphone has a charge of at least 20% and a charger with USB Power Delivery is connected.

At the moment we do not know if Samsung the will extend also to other models. We certainly expect to see it on the next high-end smartphones that the company will launch.
