The Google app, as part of a Material You graphic restyling, is getting a new shortcut that will allow users to quickly access ad personalization via the settings menu. In detail, a new menu called “Privacy and Security”: from here it will be possible to manage the announcements to be displayed/deactivated. Previously, however, it was necessary to press on your image at the top right and then on “Manage your Google Account” / Data and privacy / Personalized ads / My ad center.

By the way, always in the menu “Privacy and security” it will be possible also manage our account information, such as gender, age and language, or the categories used to show ads (relationships, household income, education, company, company size, homeowner, children’s education). Finally, it will be possible to intervene on the activity used to personalize the ads (web and app activity, YouTube history, areas in which you have used Google).

Also, the description of the “Personalization” menu on tablets includes “Media Content Providers”. So, it’s possible to speculate that this is how the Google Discover feed might show media recommendations about Google Pixel Tablets. Finally, this app redesign has not yet been widely distributed. However, you can customize ad categories and brands by visiting myadcenter.google.com.
