Despite theannouncement at the end of May on Twitter, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum it won’t hit shelves on September 1st this year. It’s the same Daedalic to communicate a further reference for the title dedicated to the iconic character of the JRR Tolkien saga.
The game, presented in 2019, was originally planned for last year. Daedalic, however, had moved the release date and only at the end of May had it confirmed the launch for the September 1, 2022. A little over two months later, however, the study sent it back again, but this time without providing any date.
It seems, in fact, that the game still requires a few months of developmentwhich is why it could arrive no earlier than 2023. The developer did not delve into the reasons for yet another rather significant delay, but limited himself to pointing out that the reason is “offer the best possible experience“.
“In recent years, the team has worked hard to deliver an immersive storyline set in a breathtaking world full of magic and wonder. We are striving to meet the expectations of our community and discover Gollum’s untold story in a way that honors JRR Tolkien“reads in tweet.
“That said, in order to provide the best experience possible, we have decided to move the launch date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by a few months. We will provide you with further updates with an exact date in the near future“.
The game will tell the untold story of Gollum, offering us an experience strictly influenced by our choices, which will allow the character to express more of the personality of Smigol or Gollum in fact. It is an adventure based on a stealth approach and exploration, with parkour And climbing at the center of travel.
