The Magic Eraser of the Pixels becomes even more powerful: here is the news coming

With the arrival of the Pixel 6 series, the one where we find the current ones top of the range smartphone from Google, we have also seen the arrival of a series of interesting software features, such as the Magic Eraser.

The Magic Eraser is a photo editing feature that Google developed with the aim of remove unwanted objects from the shots, like people or objects on background. The feature works excellently on the Pixel 6, and subsequently it also arrived for some models of previous generations.

Now Google has in mind of extend further the capabilities of his Magic Eraser. In fact, BigG showed the new functionality that will characterize the tool: it is the possibility not to cancel but to make it more uniform the presence of an object in the photographed context.

The short video from Mishaal Rahman and Google itself shows a clear example: in the shot you can see the presence of objects that, for hue, out of tune with the general context. By selecting them with Magic Eraser, it will be possible to make theirs more uniform color with the photographed environment. In the case of children at the sea, for example, the container takes on a color more consistent with that of the sand.

Looking at the examples we can say that the upcoming feature for Magic Eraser it makes sense: the images are pleasantand could be a viable alternative when the object removal is not possiblesince maybe it is too big compared to the photographed scene and the subsequent interpolation would not be adequate.

The news has not yet been distributed publicly. We expect Google will do it at the time of the official launch of the Pixel 6a, so we will have to wait a few more weeks.
