YouTube Music is one of the services of audio streaming more widespread and is always at the center of new updates, in recent weeks especially on Wear OS, but for some time there have also been rumors of a redesign of the UI on telephones and tablet Android.

A couple of months ago an indication of a new UI for playlists appeared, spotted by some users and promptly bounced on the web, while some time later the update had involved Android tablets, with one new UI both for playlist than for album. Now it seems that the first novelty is also being distributed on smartphone: let’s see what changes.

As can be seen from the image below, the user interface show a cover image much larger than before (on the left the old UI, on the right the new one) with the indication above Creator of the playlist and the last one update, and the blurry cover as a background. Immediately below we find the playlist name and further on i controls for downloading, editing (details and order), shuffle or playback, sharing and a menu that includes delete, play later and more.

Next, we find the track list and at the bottom there is the count and duration of the songs (only on personal playlists, not mixes). As she flows down, in the lower right corner a overlay button (image below) for the Shuffle Playback. On compatible devices, landscape orientation uses a two-column view.

There redesign it looks much more modern and clean, and is the same as seen in June on devices with a large screen such as Tablet Android and Chromebook (image below).

As for Tablet And Chromebookthe release of the new feature is starting for the playlistand then later it should also arrive for the album.

The update should take place side server and at the moment it is not yet available on all devices, but is expected to be rolled out more widely in the coming weeks. And the devices Apple? Still nothing is known, either for iPhone that for iPad.
