After the serious display problems that emerged after the first units of the device were shipped, news emerged about the possibility of activating a sort of secret mode on your smartphone.

The secret mode of Nothing Phone (1) is the ability to synchronize the activation of the rear LEDs with the music being played. The functionality is technically called Music Visualization and thanks to Dylan Russel we know how to enable it:

  1. Create a contact named “Abra”.
  2. Access the Settings, and then access the Glyph Interface, and finally the Ringtones item.
  3. Select Add a contact
  4. Select any Abra ringtone and save your settings.
  5. You should be able to access Music Visualization, as shown by the screenshots in the gallery.

The new feature, if activated, should therefore make it possible to synchronize the rear LEDs of Nothing Phone with the music playing on the smartphone.

We remind you that the device will be marketed in Italy at the launch price that starts at € 499and that we have already seen how to book it with WindTre.

If, on the other hand, you were intrigued by the particular design of Nothing Phone (1) then you might be interested in the article in which we collected the 10 smartphones with the strangest design before Nothing Phone (1).
