NEW ENGINE
The news are really many and concern design, chassis, engine and electronics. Speaking of the look of the bike, Triumph has redesigned the 15-liter tank featuring integrated side panels with a more compact and angular design. Add to this a new headlight finish that also incorporates the air intake. In addition, there is a new bodycoloured engine spoiler for the RS, available as an accessory for the R. The RS comes with a matching seat cover with an interchangeable passenger seat.
The more extreme Moto2 Edition is characterized by lightweight components made of carbon fiber: the front fender, the side panels, the headlight trim and the engine spoiler. Only 765 copies of this exclusive model will be made.
Speaking of the engine, the 765cc 3-cylinder has been improved. On the Street Triple R comes to deliver 120 hp at 11,500 rpm with 80 Nm of torque. On the RS version and on the Moto2 Edition the power rises to 130 hp at 12,000 rpm. The torque always remains at 80 Nm. To improve the performance level of the engine, the manufacturer has made several changes. For example, the compression ratio was raised from 12.65: 1 to 13.25: 1. Furthermore, we find new pistons and new connecting rods which have allowed, together with other modifications, to optimize combustion and efficiency inside the combustion chambers.
Pure the gearbox has been changed, and now features shorter ratios to improve acceleration performance. The exhaust system has also been updated.
CHASSIS AND ELECTRONICS
Triumph also worked on the chassis. Street Triple R and RS have a new handlebar, 12mm wider, while the Moto2 Edition version features new “clip-on” half-handlebars, positioned 80mm lower and 50mm further forward than the R and RS. Combined with the new top of the range Öhlins forks, fully adjustable, they allow a particularly track-oriented ride.
Both RS and Moto2 Edition models feature a different geometry with a more closed steering axis to achieve greater responsiveness and agility between curves.
The Street Triple R comes standard with 41mm Showa forks with separate functions, and a Showa monoshock type shock absorber. The even more prestigious RS version features 41mm Showa forks while an Öhlins shock absorber at the rear. The Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition rises even further, thanks to a 43mm fork signed by Öhlins for an even more precise ride between the curbs, assisted by a rear mono from the same manufacturer. The front travel is 115mm for all models, while 131.2mm at the rear is expected for RS and Moto2 Edition, and 133.5mm in the case of Street Triple R.
The braking system is from Brembo. In particular, the Street Triple R adopts Brembo M4.32 4-piston, monobloc and radial mount calipers (front axle) assisted by a single piston Brembo caliper (rear axle). For the Street Triple RS and Moto2 Edition models, the choice fell on the Brembo Stylema 4-piston, monobloc and radial-mount system with twin 310mm floating discs complete with fully adjustable Brembo MCS handlebar lever for even more accurate braking control. , while a single piston Brembo caliper works at the rear.
Speaking of technology, the Street Triple 2023 range can count on the latest generation of ABS Cornering. We also have a new traction control and a new anti-wheelie system. The new Street Triple R features four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport and configurable Rider. The Moto2 Edition also features Track mode.
The Street Triple R features out-of-the-box, comprehensive and easy-to-read multifunctional instrumentation, including a TFT display for key information while driving. The new Street Triple 756 RS and Moto2 Edition are equipped with a 5-inch TFT color screen dashboard.
