Truth suppressed for long is coming out: PM Modi on ‘The Kashmir Files’ | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday appreciated the recently-released film ‘The Kashmir Files’ and said more films like this need to be made so that people can know the truth.
The Prime Minister was addressing the BJP parliamentary party meeting before the start of day’s proceedings in Parliament. At the meet, PM Modi spoke about the role of film industry in presenting history.
“People who always raise flag of freedom of expression are restless. Instead of reviewing on facts, campaign being run to discredit it..,” PM Modi said while mentioning about the movie The Kashmir Files’.

“The film has shown the truth which has been suppressed for years, Prime Minister said. Those who have problem with what is being shown in the movie should come out with their own version of the facts,” the Prime Minister added. “Truth should be brought in the right form before the country. The truth prevailed in Kashmir Files,” the Prime Minister said.
The film’s team including director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, actor Pallavi Joshi, and the film’s producer Abhishek, had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12. The PM had congratulated them and appreciated the film.
