ASUS has published the official specifications of the custom video cards of the series TUF Gaming based on the design of the new ones Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX. The cards, in the OC Edition version, will be marketed with a boost clock of 2535MHz and 2615 MHz in OC modealthough the frequencies during gaming could be higher.

As we anticipated in the previous article on the new TUFthe cards will have a more voluminous design compared to the reference ones, up to a footprint equal to 3.6 slotsalso useful for integrating a third 8-pin connector on both solutions. ASUS has also improved the fans, which are larger, capable of increasing airflow and static pressure while remaining silent.

As per ASUS tradition, both cards are already overclocked by default, but through the GPU Tweak software it is possible to unlock a profile, called OC mode, which automatically sets a further overclock.

For the RX 7900 XTX, the first mode sets a Game Clock of 2395MHz and a Boost Clock of 2565MHzrespectively +4.1% and +2.6% compared to the reference frequencies. In OC mode, however, the frequencies rise to 2455MHz And 2615MHzor +6.7% and +4.6% always compared to the data indicated by AMD.

In the case of the 7900 XT the gain compared to the reference solution is even greater. In the default mode the set frequencies are of 2130MHz regarding the Game Clock e 2500MHz in terms of Boost Clock, respectively +6.5% and +4.1%. In OC mode, on the other hand, it even goes up to 2175MHz And 2535MHzor +8.7% and +5.6%.
