CONTRACTUAL ENGAGEMENT FOR WORKING PLAN ASSOCIATE
Application are invited from eligible candidates for contractual engagement as Working Plan
Associate, under Working plan officer Haridwar, for various working plan related activities, The name
of position, essential/desirable qualification, age limit, monthly consolidated emoluments and other
terms and conditions are given below: –
1.Total Number of positions: 02
2.Educational Qualifications:M. Sc in Botany/ Zoology /Forestry /Wildlife from a recognized
University/ lnstitution with 1st Division (at least 60% Marks).
3.Desirable Knowledge and Work Experience: –
 Good knowledge and skills in computer applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint
etc.)
 Field work experience in the field of forestry research with knowledge and experience in
identification of trees, shrubs and herbs in the forest and measurement of inventory parameters
of forest vegetation.
 Knowledge of GIS, especially handling of GPS devices and basic knowledge on Geospatial
Technologies.
 Physically fit for extensive travel and trek in the mountainous/ plain region.
 Research Articles published in a recognized journal.
 Preference will be given to candidate with prior experience of Forestry/Wildlife related research
and surveys and in Biodiversity related issues.
4.Upper Age limit: 35 Years as on 01-01-2023. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Women
candidates as per Uttarakhand State Government rules.
5.Duties and Responsibilities:
 Analysis of data/information collected during field survey and incorporation in working plan
chapters as per new working plan code 2014.
 Data/information collection from division, Data analysis, preparation of reports and relevant
deliverables.
 Other additional tasks related to Haridwar working plan.
6.Fellowship: Emolument Rs.25000/- per month + HRA based on Government Of India Ministry of
Science and Technology Department of Science and Technology Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z05/2019 Dated 10 July 2020.
7.Tenure: The estimated tenure of fellowship is initially for the period of six months subject to
completion of Haridwar Working Plan. The work of fellow will be evaluated and if found satisfactory,
his/ her tenure may be extended further subject to completion of Working Plan
8.Mode of Application: Candidates must submit the application in the format attached along with the
following documents:
 Self-attested copy of certificate of Identification.
 Self-attested copies of educational qualification from matriculation onwards.
 Self-attested copies of knowledge and work experience certificate, if any.
 All other relevant supporting documents.

9.Mode of Selection: Applications received will be scrutinized and shortlisted candidates will be
called for interview (either in-person or online) before the selection committee. Priority will be given
to Candidates with more relevant experience and expertise in related field. The decision of the
committee will be final and binding. The committee reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the
candidature of one or all selection applications without assigning any reason. The services, which will
include biodiversity survey and assessment of the area apart from other services associated with
working plan preparation, of selected candidates will be used for the preparation of working plan of
Haridwar Forest Division. The selected candidates are expected to travel extensively in the forest areas.
