If strangely you don’t know yet Volkswagen ID.Buzz, go and see our test with its dedicated video. For many it could be the birth of a new legend, and judging by the looks of those who saw us passing on the street, it is very probable.
However, the German company decided in an initial phase to bring only the more compact version to the market, with 5 seats, or possibly without rear seats in the cargo version. We already knew one was coming too variant with longer wheelbase and more spaceand in fact it seems the time has come.

In northern Europe a specimen has been immortalized, absolutely without camouflage whatsoever, being tested in very harsh climates. At first glance it is obviously longer, should add about 30 cma difference that is especially noticeable on the rear sliding door.
For the rest, there don’t seem to be any relevant differences, which should show themselves mostly inside the passenger compartment, of which, however, there are no images for now. The extra space would justify the presence of the third row of seatsof which there was already a sign in the 5-seater, which had the typical fittings on the side (you can see the detail in our video).

The third row should be smooth and modular, so that the required loading volume or seating positions can always be set. One wonders if this longer version will also lead to other configurationsperhaps the most interesting, seen with the prototype, such as the classic sitting area, or the rear-facing seats, typical of vehicles for those who work in transporting people.
At a technical level, any differences are not yet known, but one of the limitations of the first version was the battery, limited to a usable 77 kWh, and given the weight of the vehicle, sufficient for about 300 km of autonomy. With the longer platform we talked about possible 110 kWh battery packs, news that however has no official. The lack of camouflage of any kind suggests we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
