Qualification

(a) A PhD degree in either of the following specialties: economics, macroeconomics, labour economics, public policy and related field; (b) Minimum of 10 years work experience in the field labour and employment, with extensive knowledge on labour laws at national and sub-national level, labour reform undertaken by the states alongside relevant expertise in assessing the impact of labour law reforms on macroeconomic and sectoral parameters and labour market indicators by using secondary and primary datasets; (c) Experience in producing reports and papers related to labour reform and labour laws and its impact will be considered as a strong asset; and (d) Strong statistical, econometric analysis and reporting skills.

The minimum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding 40 years as on the closing date of application. 5. Note -1: The department officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly the deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. Note -2: Period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. Note -3 : For the purpose of computing minimum qualifying service for deputation, the service rendered on a regular basis by an a officer prior to 1st January 2006 or the date from the revised pay structure based on the Sixth Central Pay commission recommended has been extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding pay scale extended based on the recommendation of the pay commission except where there has been merger of more than pre-revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay/ pay scale and where this benefit will extend only for the post or posts for which that grade pay or pay scale is the normal replacement grade without any up gradation.
