Schumer-Manchin deal lets Democrats move on spending bill

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Joe Manchin reached a deal to pass some of President Biden’s domestic agenda. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 addresses energy, health and tax policy, but leaves out child tax credits, free community college and a national paid family leave program.
