The future is already here, at least if you think of a little bit special holidays; Hyundai has officially opened to the public the Hyundai Hotel, the world’s first hotel powered by a car, a Hyundai IONIQ 5: the facility will be open for 14 nights, from October 19th to November 5th, from Wednesday to Sunday with a stay given away by the brand that in recent weeks has put it up for grabs through a competition. Also included in the prize is a welcome cocktail, dinner, evening movie and breakfast basket.

The automaker company entrusted to Grace Dent, journalist and food critic, the attention to detail in the hotel and the living room and the result is a sophisticated and elegant environment, made up of three areas: the suite, the restaurant and the cinema. Located in Essex, just an hour from central London, the Hyundai Hotel offers luxury cottages signed by Colemans Farm, with everything you can expect from a starred accommodation. Each element of the room is powered by an IONIQ 5 thanks to the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology available to the car.

The menu and the cocktails were curated by Grace Dent, who paid particular attention on the sustainability of the food and wine offer, preferring 0 km products. In addition to eating on the terrace and cooking on the fire, guests can use the bar and restaurant area, which has an IONIQ 5 coffee shop, with espresso coffee prepared thanks to the power supply from the car.

There is also the cinema where the projector, speakers and the popcorn machine are in turn powered by the V2L function of the Hyundai model.
