A woman was stung more than 75 times while protecting her two daughters after they were attacked by bees during a family photo shoot in Buckeye, according to the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority.

According to responding personnel, the mother’s quick thinking saved the children from being stung as she rushed them into the car and took the brunt of the stings.

She was taken to the hospital with more than 75 stings and was released after receiving treatment, the agency said.

Firefighters used foam to tranquilize the bees and bring the children out of the car, according to a video posted by the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority on Instagram.

“If you are attacked by bees getting inside to a safe place is key,” the agency said in the post. “Run in a straight line, cover your face, and get to shelter. Never get into water and do not fight the bees.”
