The Taiwanese company has indeed launched the Android 13 closed beta program: despite being “closed”anyone can join the program, but lcompany will select only some users who will be able to install the update to the latest version of Android. Obviously, being a beta, it is highly likely that there are still some bugs to fix on the operating system, and therefore it would be better to avoid installing the software on your main device.
In any case, here’s how to join the beta program:
- Go to Settings> System Updates and click on the gear icon at the top right
- Click on the item Enroll in the Beta Test Programaccept the terms of use of the software and log in with your ASUS account
- Wait for the OTA update to arrive
As anticipated, anyone can join the program, but ASUS will only select some users: it is not clear what the maximum number of participants is, nor if a larger launch (perhaps open to all) of the beta program is planned. In the coming weeks we will surely know more about the release of the stable Android 13 update for Zenfone 9.
