A few days after the announcement of Bard, the answer to opponent chatbots enhanced by the search capability offered by Google, it turns out that the company intends to bring this technology to ChromeOS as soon as possible.

But things change quickly and in the last few hours we have received our first clues about how Google intends to integrate Bard into its products. In a new set of code changes unearthed by 9To5Googlewe find that Chrome OS is preparing to host “Conversational Search” as an experimental feature.
Further analyzes of the code reveal that the work is in progress and Google itself, knowing that many will go sifting through the code of this ongoing project, has inserted intentionally incorrect edits, where “Bard ” was changed to Bradand what might appear to be a spelling mistake is actually a very Google-style move.
The source says digging into the code reveals that if you enable the conversational search flag, ChromeOS will abandon the launcher’s built-in search capabilities (which searches files, apps, and the web) and replace it with a chat with Bard. Bard on Chromebooks will appear as a separate page, much like Google Assistant looks today, with a scrollable conversation history and a search bar, presumably used to start a new conversation.
