NEW DELHI: CBSE released Class 12 Term-1 results on Saturday evening, thus bringing an end to multiple speculations over the date. Just like Class 10 results, these won’t be accessible directly to students. The central board has sent theory marks for Term-1 to schools, which principals/teachers can access through their SHIKSHA login ID.
There is no ‘ban’ from CBSE’s side to share these marks with students.

CBSE is officially not calling this “results”, because that will comprise total marks of Term-1, Term-2 and practicals/ internals. Also, the weightage of both terms is to be decided.

Hence CBSE is simply referring to these marks as “performance”, so that schools can have an idea of how their students have fared.

“CBSE has started sending performance of class XII students to schools. Students can contact their respective schools,” said a senior CBSE official.

Students can contact their school and get to know their Term-1 theory marks. Details of the redressal system and protocols are expected to be released later today.

Students who have appeared in the CBSE Class 12 term 1 examination can get their scores from the schools. CBSE has not released the scores online on the official website of the board.

There are many schools who have not yet received the results in their login IDs. A similar delay happened with Class 10 results too, which were released around 11.30 in the night. This however seemed to be more of a technical server-related issue as by early morning every school had got the results.

Last year, the CBSE had announced that the board examinations for 2022 will be conducted in two terms. The Term-1 exams for major subjects were held between November 30 and December 11 last year.

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations had declared the results of both Class X and Class XII together on February 7.

Earlier, on March 12, the CBSE had released the date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 Term-II Board Examination 2022. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations will commence from April 26, 2022.

As per the CBSE notification, the exams will be conducted in single-shift and will start from 10.30 a.m. As the schools were closed due to the pandemic, the CBSE has given more gap between the two papers for almost all the subjects in both the classes.
