The horror anthology Creepshow is coming to an end, and Screen Rant has an exclusive look at the creators set to terrify readers for its finale.

Creepshow began life as a cult classic movie directed by zombie film legend George A. Romero with a screenplay from horror icon Stephen King. In the vein of old comic anthologies like EC Comics’ The Vault of Horror and Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow presented several short stories with bloody or unsettling endings. Horror streaming service Shudder remade Creepshow as an anthology show, reviving interest in the property. Now, Image Comics’ imprint Skybound has expanded the franchise by bringing Creepshow full circle with its own comic tie-in. In September, the publisher launched its new five-issue miniseries, with each issue coming from a new creative team to delight and disturb its fans.
As Creepshow picks up steam with its readers, Skybound is preparing everyone for the miniseries’ finale by announcing the all-star lineup it has planned for the final issue. Skybound has exclusively shared with Screen Rant which creators are set to bring a dramatic end to the horror anthology. Like every other issue, Creepshow #5 will come with two terrifying tales, each with their own creative team spinning the macabre tales. Steve Orlando and Marianna Ignazzi team up for a story about “a young man who’ll go to extreme lengths to retain his youth“. Meanwhile, Clay McLeod Chapman partners with newcomer Anwita Citriya for a short tale about a debutante ball so disturbing it defies words. Creepshow #5 will come with a standard cover from Chris Burnham, as well as variants from Kelley Jones and Vance Kelly.
Creepshow Is Going All Out For Its Final Issue
The recruitment of Orlando, Ignazzi, Chapman and Citriya adds to the lauded comic creators that have contributed to the Creepshow miniseries. John McCrea, Steve Foxe, Fracesco Francavilla, and Erica Henderson are just some of the talent Skybound has brought in to give the Creepshow comic a familiar, frightening, yet entertaining tone. Skybound’s dedication to finding multitalented group of creators shows how serious the imprint is to making sure its miniseries captures the same spirit fans of the 1982 film or currently-running Shudder series expect from something carrying the Creepshow name.
The first issue of Skybound’s new miniseries set a high bar for the following issues. After selling out it’s first issue featuring stories from Cullen Bunn, Paul Dini and Stephen Langford, interest in Creepshow is higher than it’s been in a long time.
