a) Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in UGC seven point scale in any discipline from a recognized University/l nstitute. b) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level-11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level-12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration or c) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or d) 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. Deputation Officers under the Central / State Governments / Universities / Recognized Research lnstitutes or lnstitutes of national importance or Govt. laboratory or PSU: a) i) Holding analogous post or ii) With at least 3 years regular service in posts with GP of Rs. 8700/- as per 6th Central Pay Commission or equivalent; and b) Possessing educational qualification and experience as prescribed above.


Level – 14 as per 7th CPC (Rs. 1,44,200 -2,18,200/-)


Preferably below 57 years (age of retirement as fixed by the Gol for the post is 62 years).


i. Experience of administrative practices, human resource management, statutory functions and academic activities of universities/ R&D institutions. ii. Experience of handling legal matters. ii. Experience in computer systems for information processing and retrieval. iv. Experience in University Administration. v. Flair for administration.


The Registrar shall be the ex officio Secretary of the Executive Council and the Academic Council. It shall be the duty of the Registrar: (a) to be the custodian of the records, the common seal and such other property of the University as the Executive Council shall commit to his charge; (b) to issue all notices convening meetings of the Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council and of any Committees appointed by those authorities; (c) to keep the minutes of all the meetings of the Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council and of any Committees appointed by those authorities; (d) to conduct the official correspondence of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council; (e) to supply to the Visitor copies of the agenda of the meetings of the authorities of the University as soon as they are issued and the minutes of such meetings; (0 to represent the University in suits or proceedings by or against the University, sign powers of attorney and verify pleadings or depute his representative for the purpose; and (g) to perform such other duties as may be specified in the Statutes, the Ordinances or the Regulations or as may be required from time to time by the Executive Council or the Vice-Chancellor.
