A few days after the presentation of the Purosangue SUV, a series has emerged of spy photos of a forklift of a new Ferrari model intent on carrying out a series of road tests at night. The car appears completely covered with sheets and the fact that it was seen circulating at night would suggest that Maranello wants to “hide” it as much as possible. What model is it?

Looking at the images you can observe some details such as the particular shapes of the headlights and the design of the alloy wheels that make it clear that under the covers there are it should be Ferrari Roma. The shapes of the front and rear also seem to match those of this model.

So why this broad camouflage? It seems that under the sheets there may be a Spider version forklift of the Ferrari Roma, a model that has been speculated about for some time. Obviously, to understand if this version is really coming we will have to wait for further sightings of the prototypes, perhaps characterized by a lower level of camouflage.

However, it cannot be ruled out that the restyling of Roma may be under the covers. This Ferrari model was presented at the end of 2019. Therefore, an update that could debut next year should not be ruled out. Restyling which, however, could also be accompanied by the launch of the Spider version.

It will therefore be necessary to have a little patience and wait for new information to better understand what Ferrari is working on. From a mechanical point of view, however, there should be no particular news on the way. So, restyling or Spider version, there will always be the powerful 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine which allows the Ferrari Roma to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and reach the top speed of over 320 km / h. Today, this unit delivers 620 hp. It is possible, however, that Maranello, with the new model, will intervene to make a small update to the engine with the aim of improving performance.
