Global Health Summit from Jan 6

VISAKHAPATNAM: The American Association of Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI) is conducting a Global Health Summit in India collaborating with Indian Medical professionals from January 6 to January 8. The AAPI represents a global group of more than 80,000 practicing physicians from all medical and surgical specialties in the USA. This is charitable foundation does a lot of service activities in India for the less privileged.
On the occasion of this summit, a free HPC Vaccination (Human Papillomavirus Vaccine) for girls from 9 years of age to 23 years would be given to avoid cervical cancer, and some cancers of the vulva, vagina, anus, and oropharynx.
The Chairperson of AAPI and the former Director of Medical Education of AP Dr. Ravi Raju and President Dr. Ravi Kolli informed the media persons that this is the 16 th Global Health Summit and there would be scientific sessions and workshops on medicine, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Kidney diseases, newborn health, Diabetes, Cardiology, Neurology, Blindness prevention and Oncology.
They said that the 3-day summit would be a platform for exchange of knowledge and skills. Women’s forum in the conference would discuss women’s health, empowerment, and violence against women. Apart from this, student programs such as research forums and medical jeopardy would be organized for medical students across the country.
Dr. Ravi Kolli said that around 400 delegates from America and India, including 100 doctors from the USA alone, participate in the summit. A walk on beach road – Be the change -All for Global Health’ on January 8 would be flagged off by surgeon Rear Admiral Raja Ravi of Eastern Naval Command.
The Global Health Summit would be inaugurated by AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Health Minister Vidadala Rajani while the Telangana governor Dr. Tamilisai would participate as chief guest in the summit for women’s forum. The world-renowned scientist of WHO Dr. Soumya Swaminathan would deliver orations and lectures along with several luminaries in the field of medicine are delivering lectures.
