Google’s next smartphone, Pixel 7a, Already shaping up to be a significant upgrade over the other A-series models. In fact, the device should have better cameras, support for wireless charging and much more. Specifically, according to some rumors, the new model is expected to be launched in 2023 and among the strengths it could have a ceramic body that would give it a certainly premium look. As for the processor, it should be equipped with the Tensor G2 chip, the same as the Pixel 7 series.

Another notable change that seems to be on the way for the Pixel 7a is the introduction of wireless charging. As first noticed by the Android researcher Kuba Wojciechowskithe Pixel 7a will include the chip “P9222” for wireless charging (which perhaps will only be able to charge 5W). The “highlight” of the smartphone, however, should be the photographic module. In this regard, it is likely that the primary sensor will be the 50MP Samsung GN1the same already seen on the Pixel 6.

The other two sensors, on the other hand, will be a Sony IMX787 64MP for telephoto and a Sony IMX72 13MP for ultrawide (the same sensor should also be used as a front camera).

If all these news were confirmed it would really be an important revolution compared to the previous models of the A series. In fact, an entirely ceramic body had never been seen on a Pixel of this line, as well as the telephoto lens, which until now has always been exclusive to the “Pro” models. For official confirmations, however, it will be necessary to wait for communications from Google, but the expectation from possible buyers is already high.
