Google has released a new version of Android 13 for Pixel users who have joined the beta program, moreover just a few days after the recent Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) 2 Beta 2 update, which we remember was only made available last January 10 with some bug fixes and a few other new features. The new release rows in the same direction, but focuses on some issues that have emerged on Pixel devices.
The next update would normally appear on the first Monday of February i.e. the 6th of the month but Google surprisingly released Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 today. Weighing only 9MB, it basically integrates two bug fixes even though they are quite important.
One delete an issue that prevented devices from automatically connecting to a 5G network when it was availablewhile the second fix addresses a problem where devices would not leave or they did not restore an existing, encrypted Bluetooth connection even after receiving a reset command. As mentioned above, the update is limited to Pixels only and specifically to the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro models.
If you have a compatible Pixel model and are enrolled in the QPR Android 13 beta program, all you have to do is go to Settings > System > System update and proceed to download and install. As always it should be noted that this is not a final version but it is not unstable like the previews for developers or the beta versions for Android not yet released.
