From the hair to the outfit, the crimson colors make Kiwi’s hair and eyes stand out as easily as the anime portrays her. Though Kiwi and other characters like Rebecca aren’t featured in Cyberpunk 2077, this cosplay is easily accessible as the items used to make the glamour are obtainable through crafting and one of FFXIV’s most popular Alliance Raids, which can’t be said for the franchise Kiwi comes from. While the Tomestone emote is only available through FFXIV’s Companion App, the image of Kiwi hacking the technology of the game’s antagonists is too good to be true.

An unavoidable flaw in the outfit is that the Machinist class available to players always has a tech box on their hip, but Wythen nailed the gruff look.
The old-fashioned pistol, alongside the roughed-up shirt and baggy pants, is an iconic look for the treasure hunter. Sporting a confident smirk in the image above, one has to wonder what sort of trouble Nathan Drake could get into in the land of Eorzea. The character is featured as a joke fighter in Type-Moon’s popular fighting game Melty Blood: Type Lumina. The stone-cold face Unlem’s avatar performs while doing a dance associated with Neco-Arc makes the cosplay more enjoyable. With the return of Hildibrand in FFXIV, this Neco-Arc cosplay will fit right in with the ridiculousness that the side-story is familiar with. The Werewolf Head that gives players the ears displayed above is the only complication with other players making this outfit. This item was only obtainable during an All Saints’ Wake event, with the only way to obtain it now being through the FFXIV Online Store.

A classic anime often praised for its dark story behind the appearance of adorable anime characters, Madoka Magica‘s Akemi Homura is a challenging character to replicate in FFXIV. The outfit itself is easily acquired through crafting and playing the main story, but there is one piece to this cosplay that makes it difficult to replicate. With a bit of effort, Reddit user Princess_Triela went through the trouble of even pulling off the Final Fantasy XIV PvP build Limit Break for the Machinist class to capture an iconic sniper rifle shot. A pistol attained through the recently brought back Garo event suits this Akemi cosplay well. The creations above and the ideas behind them show the community’s love for the characters they’re portraying and the game itself. These dedicated fans and players put their time and effort into enjoying the game they love, giving back to the community with these faithful recreations of other IPs. It takes the spirit of cosplaying at conventions and other events and brings it directly into the game, providing more Final Fantasy XIV players the same level of joy.
