How To Complete Fishy Business Quest

With the addition of Simba and Nala in Disney Dreamlight Valley comes plenty of new quests for players to complete, including Nala’s Fishy Business quest. This is one of her friendship quests that unlocks after progressing through her quest lines. The Fishy Business quest revolves around mysterious statues that look a lot like Nala.

Like most quests, some prerequisites must be completed before this quest can be started. One is unlocking Nala in Disney Dreamlight Valley through the Lion King realm, and the other is reaching a specified level of friendship with her and completing her prior friendship quests.

How To Unlock The Fishy Business Quest

As stated, to unlock the Fishy Business quest, Nala needs to be unlocked. To do this, players will need to head to the Lion King Realm. Luckily, Nala is unlocked before Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so that is one fewer step players will have to worry about in this case. Once Nala’s quest in the Lion King Realm is complete, she will be welcomed to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Unfortunately, that is going to be the easiest part. Now that she is in the Valley, players will have to put in a little work to make Fishy Business available.

Once Nala is in the Valley, players will need to increase her friendship level to level two to unlock her first friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Staking Your Territory. This quest requires players to do a little lion redecorating in the Valley, similar to Simba’s Hakuna Matata quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Once that is completed, players will need to continue to increase Nala’s friendship up to level four. Once all of these steps have been completed, the Fishy Business quest will become available.

Where To Find The Mysterious Nala Statue

When starting this quest, the first thing to do is speak with Nala. During her patrol of the Valley, she noticed that something strange was half-buried on Dazzle Beach, a statue of her. She will ask that players look into it. So head to Dazzle Beach, on the small island near Skull Rock, and look for the statue. It will appear as a sparkling digging spot with the head of a statue sticking out.

Use the shovel to dig it up and then collect it. If low on Energy, try cooking some Energy boosting recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Once collected, head back to Nala to show her the statue after using the camera to take a picture of the sparkling purple Rift that appears in the water by Skull Rock.

To save time, it’s easiest to ask Nala to hang out so that she’s already around because players will need to speak with her quite a few times during this quest. After showing the statue and picture to her, she will inform players that she believes there are two other statues in the Valley.

The next objective will be to go and collect both of those statues. One can be found in Frosted Heights and the other in the Glade of Trust. Unfortunately, they can be hard to differentiate from regular digging spots, so look closely. After digging up both with the Shovel in Disney Dreamlight Valley, bring them back to Nala and speak with her again.

How To catch The Strange Fish

Upon seeing the other two statues, Nala will note that she did see something peculiar regarding the first Rift. While Goofy was fishing in Disney Dreamlight Valley near the Rift, something startled him and caused him to run off. So players will now need to go and speak with Goofy to find out what he saw that freaked him out.

When talking to him, he will state that the thing that scared him was a strange fish, unlike any that he’d ever seen. Upon hearing that, a new objective will begin, catch the strange fish. This fish will only be catchable in the newly appeared fishing spot next to the Rift.

Cast a line into the fishing spot, and players should receive the strange fish upon a successful catch. Once caught, speak with Nala. The conclusion will be that the Rifts are dangerous and need to be closed before anything else comes through. Therefore, Ursula should be consulted as it is clearly something strange and magical about the sea, as she may know something about it.

Find Ursula and give her all three of the statues as well as the fish for her to look over. She will inform players that the fish comes from the Here and There, where Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Minnie was initially trapped, and that the enchantment sealing the Rifts is broken because the statues were disturbed by this enchantment.

After that, there is nothing else to be done for now. Ursula will agree to look into the phenomenon to protect the Valley and see if there is a way to close it. However, she is going to need some time. So, for now, there will be nothing more to do. Speak with Nala one last time and inform her that Ursula intends to help close the Rifts. Though a little unsatisfying, since the problem did not technically find a solution, this will conclude Nala’s Fishy Business friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Now players may continue working through Nala’s other friendship quests until she reaches max level.
