Investing.com — In a move to bolster its creative and branding capabilities, and live up to its commitment to helping clients navigate their digital transformation journey, the IT giant Infosys (NS:) will be acquiring the German digital agency, Oddity.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, the IT behemoth Infosys will acquire the Germany-based digital experience, marketing agency Oddity for 50 million euros, or approximately Rs 419 crore.

With over 300 major digital agencies spread across Stuttgart, Berlin, Cologne, Belgrade, Shanghai and Taipei, Oddity is among the largest independent digital agencies from Germany.

The digital agency offers a comprehensive service portfolio, including VR and AR facilities, in-house production, and e-commerce services, among others across leading German omnichannel, e-commerce retailers and FMCG brands in China and Europe.

Reports state that Oddity will become a part of Infosys’ 2018 acquisition company WONGDOODY, and help global marketers and businesses flourish with necessary skills and expertise in a digital commerce environment.

Besides, the German digital agency will also design hubs in five Indian cities, working together with WONGDOODY’s network of studios across US cities and London.
