Karan Johar is known to throw lavish parties in Bollywood and his golden jubilee birthday was nothing less of a magnificent affair. A grand filmy set was erected for the party at a studio in Mumbai, the red carpet was laid out and the theme was all things bling. Inside videos from the party are going viral on the internet, featuring Bollywood celebrities dancing their hearts out as the DJ played on.

Besties Kajol and Karan Johar burned the dance floor with their performance, while Ranveer Singh was the life of the party. In another video from the party, Ranveer is seen shaking a leg to ‘Dafliwale’ with the birthday boy. DJ Ganesh played at the party which went on till 6 am. A special remix of ‘Dafli Wale’ (from Rishi Kapoor and Jaya Prada’s Sargam) was played for Karan Johar while Abhishek also took over the DJ console briefly, Ganesh told Pinkvilla. Salman Khan was stayed on till late while Badshah performed a rap on his hit number ‘DJ Waley Babu’.

For his birthday, Karan Johar sported a blingy green blazer. Post the bash, he had shared on Instagram, “Ok so it’s Christmas tree chic! But the Bling factor is intact! I am overwhelmed with the love and blessings but that didn’t stop me for being a serial poser, pouter and preener! Roz karenge pose. I am 50! Nazar na lage mujhe!”
