There is no official confirmation from Microsoftbut it seems realistic that these images could actually come from beta test version of the already anticipated integration of GPT Chat in Bing. They were published by a student, Owen Yin, on both medium that on Twitter and highlight the presence of artificial intelligence within the operating system and web browser.
Integrating ChatGPT into Bing would allow users to ask questions naturally and get atailored research experience. In that case, Bing will be the first search engine to integrate a chat based on an advanced artificial intelligence system like ChatGPT.
According to Yin, the ChatGPT integration in Bing will be called “new bing” and Microsoft will present it as “a research assistant, a personal planner and a creative partner by your side”. It would be based, as rumor has it, on OpenAI’s most advanced neural network, GPT-4.
Instead of the typical white search box we will have a prompt where you can enter even complex questions, up to 1000 characters. In this box we will be able to do specific searches or resort to examples, presumably as is done with ChatGPT. However, while the most recent information it can draw on dates back to 2021, the version implemented in Bing will use updated data.
In the Bing results pageas Yin always shows, there will be a section with traditional research, but this will be accompanied by the section “Chats”, where you will be able to access the ChatGPT tools. If these rumors were confirmed, the implementation of modern artificial intelligence in search engines would be just around the corner. After all, already the managers of the main search engines such as Google And Baidu they are moving in the same direction.
