In fact, so far we have seen Motorola very active in the smartphone sector, especially with its own mid-range and with the top of the range of the Edge series. So what does Lenovo have to do with it? Currently the Chinese company is active in the smartphone segment with its own Lenovo Legion, gaming-phone that we hardly see in European markets.
Well according to what was leaked recently online, the idea of a ThinkPhone it’s not that remote. Yes, you got it right: a Lenovo smartphone analogous to the ThinkPad line which for decades has been successful in notebook industry.
The rumors that emerged on the net concern a device, apparently under development by Motorola, identified by the code name Bronchus. This device however is accompanied by an imagewhich you find right below, which reveals a clear reference to the range ThinkPhone.
That ThinkPhone range currently does not exist, so Bronco could lead her. We currently know that this device should be high-end: processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1display full HD +, 8 GB or 12 GB RAM, main camera sensors from 50 megapixelsaccompanied by wide-angle and macro.
The direct line to the ThinkPad series should then be a sign of reliability as well as collect a certain amount charm towards fans of the sector.
At the moment it is soon to come to conclusions. Lenovo hasn’t given any official signs regarding the development of a ThinkPhone. It could therefore be a new Motorola model, which may be launched as part of the Edge 40 series. We will come back to update you as soon as we know more.
