Jaguar Land Rover’s Italian Engineering Hub joins two other centers that are springing up in Spain And Germany, in turn, centers that will work in coordination with others already present in other countries. Jaguar Land Rover currently employs 300 professionals in its Engineering Hubs, to which the 150 expected for the Italian, Spanish and German hubs will be added.

For Marco Santucci, managing director of Jaguar Italia, the opening of the Italian Engineering Hub is an important novelty for our nation: it brings out a work model that focuses on smart working and which above all offers opportunities for brilliant figures born and raised in Italy to remain in the nation and not have to look abroad for a job in the sector that enhances their qualities. This makes it possible to avoid, in other words, that brain drain abroad in search of highly specialized professional positions, allowing not only to remain in Italy but also to benefit from the advantages of smart working.

Jaguar Land Rover has also partnered with NVIDIAa company that supplies the hardware component installed inside the group’s cars. The car platforms of the American company will be the heart of the autonomous driving systems of future Jaguar Range Rover carswhile software development will be entirely in the hands of the company thanks to its own Engineering Hubs.

This is how Marco Santucci, managing director of Jaguar Italia, comments on the birth of the national Engineering Hub. “The great strength of this initiative that we are launching in Italy is that various teams of specialists are able to collaborate in a hybrid work model from different locations around the world, strongly based on remote working. We offer these young engineers great creative opportunities in a new, less structured work environment, focused on delivering a product to the customer quickly and with quality, but not necessarily complete immediately, in all its functions, following the so-called “agile” methodology.By adopting this new working model, we form small teams , multi-functional and self-organized that repeatedly involve the end customer during development”.
