Legendary musician Madonna was found unresponsive in her home and rushed to a New York City hospital on Saturday. The singer is now out of the ICU, according to a report from Page Six.

Page Six’s report notes Madonna had to be intubated for at least one night during her stay in the ICU, before having the tube removed.

A source close to the situation tells Page Six that the artist is now “alert” and “recovering” from the issue, but is still under medical care for the time being. Fortunately, the source also mentioned that “a full recovery is expected.”

On Wednesday, Madonna’s longtime manager Guy Oseary acknowledged the situation. He revealed the artist “developed a serious bacterial infection” at some point, which led to the stay in the ICU.

The artist was set to go on a recent tour beginning on July 15, 2023, but those dates will be postponed for now.

“On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU,” reads Oseary’s statement. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
