Marvel at Comic-Con: the new Avengers, Phase 6, trailers and all the news until 2026!

The San Diego Comic-Con has undoubtedly brought a breath of fresh air to the Marvel universe, thanks to a dedicated panel that has removed many doubts about the present and the future of film productions. We would never have expected such an impressive number of innovations, and as if that were not enough, some aspects of phase 5 and subsequent phase 6 have finally been clarified. Let’s see in this cumulative article what to expect between now and 2026, and get ready because there are several interesting things waiting for us.

Let’s start immediately from the final part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will end during the current year, and which as known, inaugurated the new saga. Until today it had no official name but only unofficial, but now we know with certainty that Marvel has christened it “The Saga of the Multiverse”.

After the end of the Infinity Saga, closed with Avengers: Endgameopened the Multiverse Saga with Black Widow, and the latter will embrace part of phase 4 and subsequent phase 5, effectively ending in 2025. As for phase 4, however, we have not yet come to an end, so after the releases of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness AndThor: Love and Thunder, a film production is still missing to conclude the part relating to phase 4.

But the end is near and it will come on November 9th with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Many have wondered in the previous months how the new film would develop after the tragic death of actor Chadwick Boseman who played King T’Challa, the ruler of Wakanda.

The new teaser brings many familiar faces of Black Pantherall mourning the death of their king, and we will find many familiar faces from both the royal family and the characters who fought alongside him, including Danai Gurira as Okoye and Letitia Wright as Shuri.

The death of King T’Challa will have a significant impact on Wakanda, also due to one of the last decisions of the king, whose will was to get his nation out of hiding and begin greater cooperation with other countries of the globe. We will enter for the first time in contact with unpublished characters such as Riri Williams, the one who will later be the protagonist of the Disney + series, Ironhearta sort of female version of the late Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

Wakanda Forever it should also give the ‘start’ to the development of a spin-off series dedicated to the mysterious country of Wakanda, most likely focused on the character of Okoye. What is certain is that Marvel wants to honor the role of Chadwick Bosemanand promised to never repeat the role of King T’Challa to any other actor againin fact, the franchise’s focus will shift to other characters from Wakanda.

Once again we will find Ryan Coogler directing, who will also be in charge of the screenplay together with Joe Robert Cole. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in Italy on November 9th, but in the meantime we can enjoy the first teaser trailer. Good vision!

If we consider that the end of phase 4 is now winding down, there is very little left for the next phase 5, which will see the first two films in 2023 as protagonists, that is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The wonders And Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 . The newspapers present at the panel were lucky enough to preview the two trailers of the aforementioned films and as regards the new chapter of Ant-Man, we can anticipate that there will be some big surprises including the debut of Bill Murray in the MCU, the return of MODOK (Patton Oswalt), and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.

As for the new chapter of Guardians of the Galaxy, The trailer reveals that we will see Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), who now remembers nothing of her time with the Guardians, for obvious reasons related to the concept of the multiverse that we will not revive, while Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) still in love, will not be reciprocated in the feelings. Apparently the typical irony of James Gunn will also be palpable in this production, and of course we hope for a quick sharing of the trailer also in the official channels.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The wonders will debut in theaters on February 17, 2023, while Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 will arrive on May 5, 2023.

But the news for phase 5 will not end here, in fact, Marvel has confirmed that will also include the film Bladescheduled for arrival on November 3, 2023, and also Captain America: New World Orderwhich will be released on May 3, 2024. Finally, Phase 5 will conclude with the release of Thunderbolts on July 26, 2024.

Phase 6 will begin on November 8, 2024, and the first film to inaugurate it will be the new one Fantastic Four. Disney also talked about a film to be released on February 14, 2025, but it hasn’t unbuttoned any further and hasn’t even shared the title, so for now we will have to make do with it.

Things start to get interesting the following year with the new and anticipated films dedicated to the Avengers, to which we want to dedicate a separate chapter. These will conclude the Multiverse Saga, however, Marvel Studios have already confirmed, as if it were needed … that things will go on and have already set a date for the release of four other untitled projects in the 2026: February 13, May 1, July 24 and November 6.

Despite everything we can hypothesize what the 4 projects are about, in fact, we already know that Marvel will propose the sequels to Deadpool, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings And Spider-Man. Finally, for regarding the fourth missing project, it is known that there is also a movie Mutants in production. We do not know everything but we can hypothesize a lot!

The end of the Infinity Saga has not closed the chapter on the collaboration between the strongest super heroes in the world, and after some rumors that have interspersed these last months, we finally have some substance in our hands.

Marvel Studios announced the titles of the two new ones Avengers, which will fall within Phase 6. Let’s get ready to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty And Avengers: Secret Wars. And we also have dates! The first will be released on May 2, 2025 and Secret Wars is scheduled for arrival on November 7, 2025, and presumably will conclude the events of Phase 6.

Few details available, but based on what we have seen we can assume that Jonathan Majors will return to play Kang the Conqueror, who we got to meet for the first time in the inaugural season of the series Loki on Disney +.
