Scrabbler, a faculty member from IMS Learning Resources in Mumbai, cracked the CAT for the 12th time with a 100 percentile and a scaled score of 164.82. An IIT-Bombay and an IIM-Calcutta graduate who prefers to remain anonymous, takes the exam every year to gauge the level of difficulty and be familiar with changes in pattern or interface. Of the 16 times, he took the test, he managed a 100 percentile 12 times.

He said, “I found the DILR section unusually tough this year; it required willingness to put in effort more than just logical or calculative proficiency. The QA section was extremely lengthy and even some of the best Maths folks struggled to completely attempt it. The VARC section, at least in my slot, was moderate to easy, with readable passages and not much ambiguity, though the new question type did unsettle quite a few people. Overall it was a challenging paper, as seen from the fact that the score for a 99 percentile dropped by around 15-16 marks.”
Originally from Goa, Scrabbler moved to Mumbai in the late 1990s to pursue aerospace engineering. He graduated from IIT Bombay in 2002 and IIM Calcutta in 2005. After quitting his job, he got into teaching fulltime. He currently mentors aspirants at one of the leading CAT training institutes in the country.

CAT 2022 results were announced on 21 December 2022 at around 5.00 pm on the official website of the exam – iimcat.ac.in. This year, the CAT 2022 examination was conducted by the IIM Bangalore. Candidates can now download their official CAT 2022 scorecards by logging into the
CAT 2022 website (www.iimcat.ac.in).
This year, a total of 11 candidates have scored 100 percentile in CAT examination. Total state-wise number of CAT 2022 toppers are provided below:
