All the pieces are made up in the latest official preview of Mobvoi about the arrival of his next TicWatch: first the rumors spread by the users contacted to try the device in preview, then the announcement of Qualcomm of the new SoC Snapdragon W5 and W5 + and finally the last teaser which begins to reveal the design of the smartphone and which contains an explicit confirmation of the technical characteristics.

The next generation of TicWatch will include the latest version, the Snapdragon W5 + platform, and will offer extended battery life on a single charge, making it the most powerful smartwatch in the series ever made. In addition, the performing processor of the Snapdragon W5 + platform and the ultra low power co-processor will allow Mobvoi to offer a smartwatch with ultra-fast performance and connectivity.

For the moment Mobvoi does not say it expressly but, as you can guess from the aesthetic lines of the product that can be seen in the official teaser, it is plausible that the device could be the heir of the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS. The smartwatch will be equipped with the operating system Wear OSalthough it is not yet clear which release will be installed – it is likely that the choice could fall on version 3.

As for the launch date, Mobvoi says nothing, it is likely that the debut may be a few weeks away. Mobvoi together with Oppo are the first companies to support Qualcoom’s new smartwatch processors: Oppo has already confirmed that it will use the new platform for Watch 3 expected in August; Mobvoi, on the other hand, has not yet unbalanced by communicating the date of arrival. Beyond all, it’s nice to see some turmoil in the Wear OS smartwatch sector after a period of stagnation; part of the credit objectively goes to Qualcomm and its new processors.
