7th Pay Commission latest news and Updates: There is great news for government employees in the new year. It is reported that soon they can get the outstanding amount of dearness allowance. This will benefit more than one crore government employees. Government employees are currently getting 31 percent Dearness Allowance (DA/DR Hike). His dearness allowance arrears are pending for the last 18 months. The Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) government of the Center can take a big decision soon on the payment of this dues.
It is being told that the Modi government at the Center can once again increase the Dearness Allowance by three percent. A major decision can be taken after discussion on this subject in the Union Cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday (January 5, 2022). In this meeting, a decision is also expected to be taken on the payment of DA arrears. If a final decision is taken on this, then government employees and pensioners will get a lump sum arrears between one lakh and two lakh rupees. Along with this, there will be a big increase in salary as well.
Among the people who will get the benefit of this decision of the government, there are 48 lakh central employees and 60 lakh pensioners. Last year, a meeting of the National Council of JCM (NCJCM) and Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) was held with the Finance Ministry. In this, while restoring the outstanding DA of the employees, one-time payment of the outstanding DA arrears for 18 months was also discussed. A letter was also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the Pensioners’ Forum.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Pensioners Forum of India had demanded that he intervene in the DA payment matter. The PM was requested to direct the Finance Ministry to pay the arrears of DA / DR due from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2021 at the earliest. In view of the elections to be held in 5 states including Uttar Pradesh, it is expected that Prime Minister Modi will look into this issue and can take some initiative. If the PM considers the demands of the Pensioners Forum of India, then the employees will be paid a lump sum DA arrears.
According to media reports, a major decision can be taken in the Union Cabinet on the payment of DA dues. It will benefit more than one crore employees and pensioners. Some people will get the benefit of up to two lakh rupees. This amount will come in one lump sum in their bank account. All the central government employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for the final decision on this subject.

Now we tell you which people can benefit by how much. If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then his DA arrear for three months will be (4,320 + 3,240 + 4,320) = Rs 11,880. If someone’s basic salary is Rs 56,000, then his 3 months DA arrears (13,656 + 10,242 + 13,656) = Rs 37,554. Now let’s talk about Level-1 employees. His DA arrears range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554, Level-13 (7th CPC basic pay scale Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) and Level-14 (pay scale) from Rs 1,44,200 in DA arrears item There will be a profit of Rs 2,18,200.
