Only a few days have passed since Google launched its new Pixel 6a, the new generation of smartphone mid-range. Now we can get a further taste of its potential.

Although the Pixel 6a are a sort of little brother of the Pixel 6, on the new mid-range from Google we find some interesting features. Between absolute novelties from the software point of view we find the new option Camouflage of Magic Rubber.

The Magic Eraser is a photo editing feature that Google developed with the aim of remove unwanted objects from the shots, like people or objects on background. The feature works excellently on the Pixel 6, and subsequently it also arrived for some models of previous generations.

With Pixel 6a Google has launched a new way of using the Magic Eraser: it is the possibility not to delete but to make it more uniform the presence of an object in the photographed context.

We also tried the news on Pixel 6a, you can have an example by looking at the shots and comparisons that you find right here below:

In the shots you can see the presence of objects that, for hue, out of tune with the general context. By selecting them with Magic Eraser, it will be possible to make theirs more uniform color with the photographed environment. Looking at the examples we can say that the functionality it makes sense: the images are pleasantand could be a viable alternative when the object removal is not possiblesince maybe it is too big compared to the photographed scene and the subsequent interpolation would not be adequate.

What we have just seen is already available for the Pixel 6a, and will arrive for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro from July 28that is from the same day the Pixel 6a shipments will start.
