Prince William has had a “behind-the-scenes” discussion with England Manager Gareth Southgate. They talked for 15 minutes at Football Association’s national centre.

He today visited St George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, to mark its 10th anniversary as the home of England’s team.
During his visit, the Prince observed training sessions involving the England Men’s Senior Deaf team and the England Men’s Powerchair Development squad.
He also met children from local community clubs and the England representatives at this year’s Street Child World Cup.
The Prince is understood to have discussed the England team’s preparation for for next month’s World Cup with Mr Southgate.
Reports suggest the England Manager also thanked William for visiting St George’s Park and highlighted the centre’s decade of work.
Mr Southgate expressed his condolences to the Prince on the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
He spoke of his admiration for the manner in which the Royal Family conducted themselves following their loss.
