Red Dead Redemption 2 earns support a AMD’s FidelityFX Resolution 2.0 (FSR 2.0). This is an official development, following the arrival of an amateur mod last July. The Rockstar Games title thus earns the upscaling technologyjust update the game to the latest version 1.31. The game supported NVIDIA’s DLSS technology exclusive to GeForce RTXs from July 2021.

The patch, in addition to FSR 2.0, implements Reflex technology to reduce lag for gamepad players and introduces improvements regarding Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA). Additionally, issues with full-screen gaming and HDR have been fixed, as well as a bug that set the 4: 3 aspect ratio when playing full-screen at 5120×1440 pixels. The patch weight is over 400MB.

AMD recently stated titles that support FSR 2.0 have exceeded 30, for a total of about 120 compatible productions (or which will be soon) by adding FSR 1.0 and FSR 2.0. In short, the technology spreads very quickly thanks to the fact that it is open source, easy to integrate and above all it also works on competitor GPUs. Our opinion on FSR 2.0 can be read in this article.
