A Biden administration task force charged with reuniting migrant families separated under President Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policies is allowing “paid travel” for illegal immigrant parents to reunite with their children in the United States.

Michelle Brané, the executive director of the Family Reunification Task Force, tells NBC News that 400 children have been reunited with their parents after being separated trying to cross the southern border under the previous administration.

The task force is also reportedly allowing the illegal immigrant to bring other members of the family with them, and are granting them an opportunity to live and work in the country for three years.

“Now, parents are given the opportunity to come to the U.S. on paid travel, bring other members of their family who are dependent on them, and live and work in the U.S. legally for three years,” NBC writes.

They note that lawyers for the separated families have been advocating for permanent legal status, something the administration has not agreed to at the present time.

In addition to the aforementioned opportunities being granted by the Biden administration to parents who attempted to enter the country illegally as they reunite them with their children, the task force is also proving mental health services to those involved.

The Family Reunification Task Force website describes the need for such services.

They are designed to “help reduce your stress and provide emotional support as you reunite with your family.”

“Family reunification services are free,” they helpfully remind those seeking to reunite with the children they left behind in a foreign country.

Humanitarian Crisis As Illegals Flood the Border

News of the Biden administration task force reuniting parents and children separated as they illegally crossed the border comes as Democrat mayors in so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ report being overrun with migrants being shipped to their location on buses from red border states.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has encouraged those pro-illegal immigration mayors to travel to the border to see the humanitarian crisis up close.

“I invite you to visit our border region to see firsthand the dire situation that only grows more urgent with each passing day, and to meet with the local officials, who like yourselves, realize this matter deserves immediate federal action,” Abbott wrote in a letter.

“I also ask you to join me in requesting President Biden secure the border and put an end to this disastrous crisis.”

President Biden back in November insisted illegal immigrants who were separated at the border under the previous administration “deserve” payment for their troubles.

“Now here’s the thing. If in fact because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration, you coming across the border, whether it was legal or illegal, and you lost your child,” Biden said.

He then switched to a more hostile tone, pointing a finger toward the camera and raising his voice.

“You lost your child. It’s gone. You deserve some kind of compensation, no matter what the circumstance,” the President shouted. “What that will be, I have no idea.”

Paid travel and an opportunity to live and work in the United States for at least three years seem to be a start.

The Family Reunification Task Force site indicates that once the three years have expired, those illegal immigrants reunited under the process “can apply to renew their applications and request to remain in the United States.”
