SEAT He obtained two Guinness World Records sequentially. However, they are not about cars but about the new electric scooter SEAT MÓ 125 Performance which will be officially unveiled on November 8 in Milan during EICMA. As we know, the Spanish brand in the past had created SEAT MÓ, a new division dedicated to the development of products and services for urban mobility. Among the products presented in the past, the SEAT MÓ 125 electric scooter already available in Italy. Apparently, a new version of this battery-powered two-wheeler is on the way, the details of which will be revealed soon.

The Spanish manufacturer therefore wanted to aim for two new records to launch its new electric scooter in the best possible way. Let’s go into the details.

OVER 2,500 KM IN 48 HOURS


According to reports from SEAT, at the Zuera International Circuit in Zaragoza, the SEAT MÓ 125 Performance electric scooter managed to beat two Guinness World Records titles in 48 hours. In two days, this battery-powered two-wheeler it has traveled over 2,500 km (2,588 km to be precise).

More specifically, the idea was to beat the primacy of the electric motorcycle category with a vehicle with purely urban characteristics. First of all, the scooter broke the 24 hour record in the team testtraveling 1,430 kmmore than double the distance of the previous Guinness World Records.

Five drivers took turns in a relay race that included the driver change at each battery change, approximately every 50 minutes: Ivo Viscasillas, collaborator of the Complete Vehicle department of the SEAT Research and Development area, the journalist Judit Florensa and the drivers Cristian Marín, Miquel Viñola and Jordi Gené.

Once this record was broken, we moved on to the solo one. The Italian journalist Valerio Boni traveled by the same means 1,158 km with short stops to change the battery just over an hour and an occasional 40 minute break to rest.

THE PRESENTATION


The new SEAT MÓ 125 Performance electric scooter, as mentioned at the beginning, will be unveiled at EICMA. To know its technical characteristics we will have to wait, therefore, for November 8th. Lucas CasasnovasDirector of SEAT MÓ, commented:

These two Guinness World Records titles demonstrate the reliability of the electric technology and specifically of the SEAT MÓ 125 Performance, which we will soon unveil at the next edition of the EICMA. For the first time and with great enthusiasm, we will be present at this international two-wheeler show, after having reached a milestone that had never been achieved before by an electric scooter.
