Through the official blog of PlayStation, Sony announced the acquisition of a new development studio, Savage Game Studios. The team specializes in making video games for mobile devicesan area in which Sony intends to offer an entire catalog based on PlayStation’s IP.
The purpose of the acquisition is, essentially, to bring a greater number of users closer to the PlayStation ecosystem and in particular to first-party titles that the platform offers.
As specified by the same company in the post dedicated to the acquisition: “our mobile gaming initiatives will provide an extra means of engaging more people with our content and trying to reach new audiences unfamiliar with PlayStation and our games“.

Savage Game Studios, in fact, will join the PlayStation Studios Mobile Division which will operate in a completely separate way from the projects related to the console. The new division will be committed to developing innovative experiences, based on Sony’s intellectual property, but designed specifically for mobile platforms.
In this way the company wanted to emphasize that the operations in progress do not reduce the commitment to the community linked to the console, as happened for the PC transpositions of some great successes (the next on the list is Marvel’s Spider-Man that we have reviewed here) that had generated doubts among the most loyal fans.
At the moment, in the post, we read that Savage is already working on a title not yet announced. It is a triple A live service action video game.
