On its official website ZOOZ (formerly Chakratec), a company that deals with research and development of charging solutions for electric cars based on flywheel technology, announced that it has signed a binding memorandum of understanding for collaboration with a car rental service provider to initiate and operate a joint pilot program for an ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. At the center of the project there will be the ZOOZ Power based on the ZOOZTER-100 and its ability to enable and support ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles at sites where the electricity grid is limited in power.

The aim of the experimentation is to make the pilot site operational during the second quarter of 2023, for a period of 12 months; subsequently, the parties will discuss a roadmap and agreement for long-term cooperation, using ZOOZ Power’s products at additional sites.
