There are many stories where people are saved by technology, especially that of Apple and their iPhones. The function is present in the new iPhone 14s “SOS Emergency” via Satellite, which send a message to rescuers in locations where there is no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.
Saved by the new feature of iPhone 14
A few days ago a truly incredible event happened, but fortunately with a “happy ending”, thanks also to the functionality of Apple smartphones. Two people were driving the mountainous roads on the Angeles Forest Highway in the Angeles National Forest in California, when the vehicle skidded and fell more than 90 meters.

Since this is a remote area and without cellular coverage, the driver’s iPhone 14 automatically detected the accident thanks to the function “Crash Detection” and later notified the emergency services thanks to the function SOS Emergency via satellite.
The two people involved in the crash were located by the Montrose Research and Rescue Team and rescued by helicopter. They were later taken to an area hospital and treated for minor to moderate injuries, with the entire rescue captured on video.
